Spring is finally here! After a very long winter, we are looking forward to the breath of fresh air and renewal the new season brings. But before you get outside and start enjoying, get some spring organizing done with our guide for our five favorite rooms in the house.
Living Room: Want to change up your space? Why not create a new layout for your living area: move your couches around and maybe add a new rug. If you want to refresh an existing rug, dust it with baking soda, let it sit a couple of hours and thoroughly vacuum the area. Wash your windows, clean your blinds and don’t forget to dust all the hard to reach areas.
Kitchen: Get on your step stool and dust the tops of your cabinets. While you’re up there, empty and clean them as well: you might find a forgotten set of wine glasses (which you can put to good use once you are done). Organize all your pots and pans with a magazine rack and place wire racks and a lazy susan inside the fridge for extra space.
Bedroom: Start by organizing your closet: donate unused clothing and accessories and rearrange remaining apparel on space saving hangers to maximize space. Make sure you properly store your duvet in a cotton bag and in a dry location to keep it in its best condition for next winter. Finally, refresh your bedding with colorful and bright sheets.
Bathroom: Give your sink, shower, tub and toilet a good scrub. Clean out your expired makeup and medication and give your mirrors and faucets a good shine. Try using cake stands for a different way to organize your makeup. Don’t forget to add some new towels, candles and incense for a fresh room.
Garage: Get your summer gear out of storage and clean your patio furniture and grill and start thinking of bright new tableware for your outdoor get-togethers. Invest in vertical bike racks for maximum space. A great idea for tool organization is to outline your tools on a pegboard so you never forget where to hang them.
